Gertrude Dachs Sullivan, 84, of Monticello, passed away on February 6, 2015 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.

She was born April 11, 1930 in Kempten, Germany to the late Josef and Zenta Dachs.

Mrs. Sullivan was the widow of Marshall Sullivan, Sr., her husband of 55 years, a homemaker and a Christian. She was a loving mother, grandmother and enjoyed cooking, baking and working with flowers.
She was very devoted to her family and loved serving her Lord. She was very kind and complimentary to all people she came in contact with.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Dachs and Karl Dachs; a grandson, Ryan Haney; a granddaughter, Hannah Sullivan; and a great-grandson, Justin Sullivan.

Survivors include three sons, Joe Sullivan, Sr. and wife Karla, Jimmy Sullivan and wife Lisa and Marshall Sullivan and wife Beverly, all of Monticello; three daughters, Angie Phillips and husband Johnny, Evelyn Haney and husband Larry and Judy Carol Houston and husband Pete, all of Monticello; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be held on February 9 at 4 p.m. at Rock Springs Cemetery. Visitation is February 8 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stephenson Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello.
