Gladys Williams Lowry, 86, of Crossett, formerly of Star City, died on June 30, 2019 in Crossett.
She was born March 8, 1933 in Star City and was the daughter of the late Ben Williams and Gracie Raley Williams.
She was a homemaker, a member of Pine Hill Free Will Baptist Church and worked as a hairdresser. She loved to sew and was a wonderful cook.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Lowry; a daughter-in-law, Pam Lowry; a grandson, Hunter Lowry; and a sister Cathy Owen.
She is survived by a son, Robbie Lowry of Johnsville; a daughter, Debbie Lowry of Star City; a brother, B.F. “Sonny” Williams of St. Louis, Missouri; and sisters, Wanda Drake and husband, Jerry of White Hall, and Nita Weast and husband, Ricky, of Star City; a granddaughter, Mandy Smith and husband, Mike, of Crossett; and four great-grandchildren, Evie Kinnaird, Holt Smith, Katie Smith and Taylor Smith all of Crossett.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 2 at 2 p.m. at Palestine Methodist Church in Johnsville with Rev. Charles Cauley officiating. Burial will be at Palestine Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
