Glenda Borland Fowler, 97, of Monticello, died December 26, 2020 in Monticello.
She was born January 3, 1923 to the late Cullen Oliver and Mary Ropa Uland Borland at Walnut Lake, Arkansas.
Glenda was raised on the Pickens Farms with four siblings.
She was preceded in passing by brothers, Marshall Borland and Hilburn Borland and sisters, Pauline Borland Gannaway and Clementine Borland Herren.
Glenda was a 1940 graduate of Dumas High School and attended Hendrix College in Conway. She married Aubrey Fowler after WWII and spent her working career in Little Rock. She relocated to Monticello in retirement.
Glenda was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dumas and worked for the Department of Human Services as an examiner for 30 years.
Survivors are two sons, Joseph Aubrey Fowler of Livingston, Montana and Dale Martin Fowler of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family across Southeast Arkansas and the state.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 29, at 1 p.m. at Walnut Lake Cemetery with Rev. Jody Gannaway and Rev. Don Borland officiating.
