Gloria Faye Miller, 82, of Shalimar, Fla., formerly of Crossett, passed away on May 26, 2014 at her home with her family at her side.
Mrs. Miller was a classy, sassy woman who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked at the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum in Monroe, La.
She was born on October 23, 1931 in Corsicana, Texas and was the daughter of the late Frank and Olga Rutledge. She was a former Crossett native.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Miller; three sisters, Claudia Warrington, Frankie Fisher and Mattie White; and two brothers; Dudley and Billy Rutledge.
She is survived by her three daughters, Joyce (Ronnie) Bailey of Crossett, Jan (James) Bass of Shalimar, Fla. and Jill (Willie) Markham of Royal, Ark.; one son, Johnny Miller of Crossett; one sister, Nora Jo Payne of Corsicana, Texas.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
She loved her family dearly.
A funeral service will be held May 30 at 11 a.m. at the Medders Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Rev. Floyd Griffis officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
Pallbearers are Bryan Bailey, Brad Bailey, Brent Bailey, Michael Lee, Josh Pippen and Chris Tharp.
Visitation will precede the service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
