University of Arkansas-Monticello basketball players Cobe Goosby, Tayte Kitts and Stephen Glassco, Jr. were recently recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for their academic achievements.

Kitts, a forward from Corryton, Tennessee had a cumulative 3.4 GPA grade point average at the end of the 2016-17 season.

Goosby, a guard from Elba, Alabama and Glassco, a guard from Lake Worth, Florida, both had a cumulative GPA of 3.2 at the end of the year.

The NABC named the three men to its Honors Court, recognizing the hard work the three collegiate basketball student-athletes exhibited in the classroom.

To be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. They
must be a junior or senior and a varsity player, have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the end of the 2016-17 academic year, must have matriculated at least one year at the college they currently attend, and be a member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
