Two Republican candidates for separate state House seats will speak at the August 11 meeting of the Southeast Arkansas TEA Party.
Sonya Ryburn, who is seeking the office of State Representative for District 9 and Patricia Mays, candidate for State Representative for District 10 will discuss their campaigns and answer questions. The incumbents, District 9 State Rep. Sheilla Lampkin and District 10 State Rep. Mike Holcomb, both Democrats, were also invited to speak, but neither responded to the invitations.
The meeting, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., will be held at the Living Word Fellowship Church in the south end of the building which houses Cowboy’s Restaurant. The church is directly across the street from the Ryburn auto dealership on U.S. 425 South.
The meeting is open to the public. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend.
