The Guachoya Art Center in Lake Village will host a reception on August 7 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. for the opening of its amateur photography contest.
Pottery items from the Summer Art Camp for Children will be also be on display and Janis F. Kearney will be signing copies of her book “Sundays with TJ: 100 Years of Memories of Varner Road”, a biographical memoir of her fathers’ memories of growing up in southeast Arkansas.
Kearney was a presidential diarist during the Clinton administration and her book includes a foreword by former President Clinton.
The event is free and open to the public.
The Guachoya Art Center is located at 1652 Highways 65 & 82 in Lake Village. The hours of operation are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
