The Guachoya Cultural Arts Center at Lake Village will host a new exhibit opening reception for mixed media artist Kim Guthrie on Nov. 1 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Guthrie will feature art that illustrates an imaginative look at “South Mouth and Ghetto Slang.” It will be a mixed media show featuring oil with palette knife, gouache on paper, photography, paper mache and collage and recycled art.

The exhibit will be featured at the Guachoya Cultural Art Center’s 7th annual “Christmas Marketplace” during November and December.

The Christmas Marketplace luncheon will be November 16 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tickets for the luncheon will be available at the Guthrie reception.

The Guachoya Cultural Art Center is located on 1652 Highways 65 and 82S in Lake Village.
