Guylean Bolen Owen, 82, of Star City, died on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Lincoln Heights Healthcare.
She was born April 26, 1936 in Cleveland County to the late William Guy and Cecil Louise Lunsford Bolen.
Mrs. Owen was a member of Crigler Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a retired factory worker. He loved to play and coach softball, loved the Razorbacks, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in by her husband, James Leon Owen and a son, James Allen Owen.
Survivors include two daughters, Debby (Jay) Socia and Gail (Steven) Bills, both of Star City; three brothers, Benjamin Bolen, Billy (Debbie) Bolen, both of Star City, and W.G. (Robin) Bolen of White Hall; three sisters, Peggy Morgan of McGehee, Dessie Milholland and Myrtle Bolen, both of Star City; 10 grandchildren, Brad Socia, Lindy Socia, Greg McBryde, Lesley McIntosh, Kasey Weast, Autumn Bills, Dustin Owen, Maranda Holstead, Candace Chapman and Stacey Bolen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August, 3 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home in Star City.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Bro. David Leopard and Bro. Chip Wallace officiating. Burial at Leek Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Steve Owen, Todd Owen, Cameron Bolen, Daren Bolen, Michael Bolen and Joe Anders.
