H.L. Mitchell, 94, of Lake Village, died on December 18, 2014 at his home in Lake Village.
He was born on July 24, 1920 in Prattsville and was the son of the late Landis Buren Mitchell and Claud Rose Hope. He was a WWII US Army Air Force Veteran, retired contractor, Baptist and a member of The Shepherd’s Chapel, in Gravette, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Monnette Griffin; a son, Hiram Larry Mirchell; six brothers, and six sisters.
Survivors are two daughters, Lanis Strader-Nichols and husband, Mike, of Lake Village, and Dee Bunker and husband, Bill, of Lake Village; one sister, Teresa Evans (Pee-wee) of Orlando, Florida; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and host of other family and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on December 26 at 10 a.m. Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Village. Arrangements were made by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.
