Hamburg will host its 14th annual Christmas Downtown Celebration and Parade “Hamburg Holidays” on December 6.
This year’s celebration will include the “Southern Christmas Charm” Parade, the Little Red Wagon Parade, a Christmas pet show, the annual reading of The Christmas Story, a gingerbread house contest, an ugly sweater contest, photos with Santa, Christmas music and entertainment, arts and crafts booths (all day), a photo booth, Santa’s Workshop, 5K/1K Glow Run, possible carnival rides (weather permitting), and lots of snacks and refreshments.
Arts & Crafts will start at 10 a.m. with the photo booth and Santa pictures from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Santa’s Workshop will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The gingerbread houses will be judged at 1 p.m. The annual reading of The Christmas Story will be at 3 p.m., followed by the ugly sweater contest at 3:30 and the Little Red Wagon Parade at 4 p.m. The parade is is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. and the Glow Run will begin at 7:15 p.m.
