Harold Cecil McAllister, 74, of Camden, passed away on January 4, 2015 at Gardner Nursing Center in Star City.
He was a graduate of Arkansas A&M (now the University of Arkansas at Monticello) and a retired businessman. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Camden and the Kiwanis Club.
Mr. McAllister was born on March 28, 1940 in Monticello and was the son of the late Lewis and Thelma McAllister of Monticello.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carrel Ed McAllister and Johnny Lewis McAllister.
He is survived by his wife, Linda McAllister of Camden; a son, Mike McAllister and wife, Erin of Camden; a daughter, Cathey Griffin and husband, Craig of El Dorado; four grandchildren, Jonathan McAllister and Hanna McAllister both of Camden, and Braden Griffin and Peyton Griffin both of El Dorado; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. McAllister will be Tuesday, January 6 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Camden with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Ratliff will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. before the service in the Great Hall at the church.
