Harold Eugene Slaten, 91, of Dumas, passed away May 25, 2021 in Little Rock.

He was born May 30, 1929 in Oppelo, Arkansas and was the son of the late Loy and Leona Faye Waller Slaten.

Mr. Slaten was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired manager of Crow Burlingame Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts and served in the United States Army and Arkansas National Guard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Slaten and a sister, Geneva Gilbert.

Survivors are his wife, Sandra Butler Slaten of Dumas; a son, David Slaten of Dumas; two brothers, Leon Slaten of Hot Springs and Buster Slaten of Auburn, Alabama; and a sister, Martha Pendergrass of McGehee.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 27, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home in Dumas. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 28, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Julius Carter officiating and burial following in Walnut Lake Cemetery.
