Hazel F. Perdue, 101, of Crossett, passed away on February 16, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Perdue graduated high school in Shreveport, Louisiana where she played on the girls’ basketball team. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, where she served as president of her Sunday school class and worked in the nursery for many years.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening, spending time with family, and making gifts of hospitality for friends and family.

She was born on June 9, 1915 in Hamburg and was the daughter of the late Claude E. and Sarah Francis McDuffy Tull.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Gulledge; her second husband, William A. Perdue; two daughters, Judy Corder and Judith Simmons and three brothers, Benton, Claude, Jr. and Charlie Tull.

Survivors include one son, Ronnie Gulledge of New Braunsfal, Texas; two daughters, Phyllis Holiman of Little Rock and Janie Perdue of Crossett; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
