Helen Campbell Leftwich passed away January 17, 2017 at McGehee Health & Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Leftwich was a graduate of Dumas High School and served as salutatorian of the Class of 1951. She went on to become the secretary to the president of Arkansas Power & Light, now known as Entergy.

She was born in Dumas on May 7, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Jim and Ann Campbell and the wife of the late H.L. Leftwich.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Campbell, Jr. and three sisters, Betty Sanderson, Virginia Johnson and Merle Trussell.

Survivors are three sisters, Nancy Wallace of California, Rosemary Glover of Little Rock and Kitty Glover of Dumas and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Walnut Lake Cemetery with Rev. Julius Carter officiating.
