Helen Faye Johnson Crawford, 82, of Hamburg, passed away on May 2, 2014 at the Gardner Nursing Center in Star City.
She was in the restaurant business for many years and she was a member of the Eden Baptist Church in Hamburg. She resided in Paris, Texas until 2008 when she moved to Hamburg to be with her son and family.
Mrs. Crawford was born July 28, 1931 in Clarksville, Texas along with her twin sister, Ellen, and was the daughter of the late John Howard Johnson and Margie Young Johnson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Muriel Crawford; her twin sister, Ellen Coutts; a sister, Louise Stinson and four brothers, Douglas, John D., Jesse and Bobby Johnson.
She is survived by two sons, James Bailey and wife, Norma of Hamburg and Michael Bailey and wife, Sandra of Malvern; a sister, Betty Pitts of Paris, Texas; a brother, Charles Goodwin and wife, Dixie, of Duncan, Okla.; two grandsons, Blake and Ryan Bailey; two granddaughters, Judy Castra and Amy Quinn; a step-grandson, Kevin Rial and wife, Renee; eight great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held May 6, at 10 a.m.at the Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, Texas with James Bailey officiating. Burial will be at the Stone Chapel Cemetery in Clarksville, Texas.
Visitation will be May, 5 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Bright-Holland Funeral Home in Paris, Texas. Local funeral arrangements are under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg.
