She was a faithful member of the Hamburg First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was an active member of the United Methodist Women and the Rolfe Whitlow Sunday School Class. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bridge and was hostess in her home for many Farmer’s Bank parties and other social events. Known as Baba to many, she loved her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Louie Gene Foote in 1996; a son, Henry Eugene Foote in 1974; her parents, J.C. and Eunice Griswold Higginbotham; two sisters, Lorece Ozment Rainey and Billie Jean Bussell; a brother, Donald Higginbotham; a sister-in-law, Muriel Bolls Suares and a special friend, Linda Harville.
