Helen Inez Stewart, 85, of Lake Village died on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Delta Regional Medical Center of Greenville, Mississippi.
She was a tow boat cook for many years before retiring. She was a member of Lake Village Baptist Church.
Mrs. Stewart was born May 20, 1931 in Kosciusko, Mississippi and was the daughter of the late Clyde McGee and Illar Mae (Stevens) McGee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Stewart; son, Joe Pat Riley; and two brothers, Russell McGee, and Billy McGee.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Groeteke and husband, Brian of Lake Village, Kay Stafford and husband, Eddie of Greenville, MS and Charlotte Taylor and husband Stephen of Toronto, Canada; two stepsons, James Stewart Jr. and wife Paula of Lake Village, and Donny Stewart of Dermott; step daughter, Margaret Cartwright of Little Rock; sister-in-law, Evelyn McGee; daughter-in-law, Cindy Riley, three grandsons, Dustin (Rebecca) Groeteke and Dylan (Nicole) Groeteke, and Zachary Stafford; five granddaughters, Savannah Taylor, Meagan Taylor, Alexandra Riley, Racheal Guest, and Abby Stafford; six great-grandchildren, Hadleigh, Addy, Saylor Jo, Gracie, Jackson, and Katie.
Visitation will be held on January 5 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. at Bishop-King Funeral Home in Lake Village. Burial will be at Holy Innocents Cemetery in Lake Village.
