Helen Lowe Mullins, 90, of Warren, passed away February 22, 2014 at Bradley County Medical Center.
She was a WWII veteran, a member of First Baptist Church, and retired from the Crow-Whaley Clinic in Warren after 44 years of service.
Upon graduation from high school, Mrs. Mullins joined the Women’s Army Core and received her surgical technician certification training while serving during WWII. After the war she married James Lee (Porter) Mullins. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in November.
Mrs. Mullins was born September 5, 1923 at New Edinburg and was the daughter of the late Luther B. and Mary Huff Lowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Floyd Lowe, Kloyce Lowe, Erwin Lowe, and Leola Lowe Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, James Lee Mullins; a son, Jim and his wife Donna of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Robyn Mullins Taylor, Michelle Mullins Peevy and John David Mullins; five great grandchildren, Blake Taylor, Sarah Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Kaylee Peevy and Kaitlyn Mullins; a niece, Rachel Picking; and three great-nieces, Sharon Reeves, Barbara Shearer and Denny Hartman.
Funeral services will be held February 26 at 1:30 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Warren.
