Henry Wilburn Austin, 69, of Crossett, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on April 22, 2019.
He was born on May 4, 1949 at Snyder and was the son of the late Henry W. and Peggy Roberts Austin.
Mr. Austin was an industrious individual. He knew nothing of leisure or hobbies, only hard work. He was instrumental in the reconstruction of Wiggins Cabin and the repairing of Troy Church. He loved his gravel pit and had an unmatched passion for the eradication of all things pesky. In addition to his parents, Mr. Austin was preceded in death by a brother, Elton Dean Austin.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Connie Cheeseman Austin; two sons, Shane Austin and Toby Austin (Brooke), both of Crossett; five daughters, Krista Goyne (Ashley), Allison Austin (Chris Jordan), Anna Austin, Alexandra Mills (Justin) and Meredith Austin, all of Crossett; eight grandchildren, Conner and Abbey Austin, Hope Spurlock, Savannah Goyne, Katlyn Goyne, Moya and Aren Ellis, Tori Simmons; two sisters, Shelia Drake (Dickey) and Nita McDaniel (David); one brother, Emory Austin (Patsy) and a host of friends and loved ones.
