Herb Parker, 73, of Hamburg, died September 23, 2014 at his residence.
He was a native of Gillett and a resident of the Milo community outside of Hamburg for more than 50 years.
Mr. Parker worked at Estelle Tractor and Bearhouse Grain & Elevator. He was a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church and he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert (Bud) and Wilma Nutter Parker.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kay Lochala Parker of Hamburg; two sons, Scott Parker and wife, Angie, of Crossett and Chris Parker and wife, Angie, of Hamburg; a daughter, Teresa Bailey and husband, Alan, of Pearl, Mississippi; a sister, Gayla Cockerham and husband, Bruce, of Hamburg; 10 grandchildren, Megan, Christopher, Brandi, Blake, Emily, Shawny, Courtney, Laina, Billy & Jordan and 2 great-grandchildren, Noah and Baylee.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held September 26 at 10 a.m. at the Crossroad Cemetery with Bro. Sammy Land officiating. Pallbearers are Fordie Cook, Trey Cook, Wayne McClain, Marvin Carter, Keith Hensley and Bobby Poole.
Visitation is September 25 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jones Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.
