Hermitage Mayor Billy Gorman died Saturday at St. Vincent’s Infirmary in Little Rock. He was 75.
Gorman, who was serving his second term as mayor of Hermitage, was active in many civic and community organizations in Bradley County.
He was was a board member of the Bradley County Medical Center Foundation, member of the Arkansas Municipal league of Arkansas, member of the Lions Club, member of the Bradley County Economic Development Corporation board, and was a member of the Bradley County Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of Hermitage United Methodist Church.
Gorman worked 25 years for F&S Pre-Stress Concrete in Hampton and owned and operated Bill’s Logging.
Funeral services will be held on September 17 at 10 a.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home Chapel in Warren with burial at Williams Cemetery.
Visitation is September 16 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home.
