University of Arkansas at Monticello men’s basketball player Derylton Hill has been named to the top 100 watch list for the Bevo Francis Award.
The Clarence “Bevo” Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements. This is an incredibly prestigious award, as this award will only be given to one player within Small College Basketball per season.
Hill, a junior forward for the Weevils, currently stands at second overall in points per game in the Great American Conference with 20.0 points per match-up. Derylton also ranks eighth overall in the GAC in overall rebounding with 7.3 boards per contest.
The Palm Bay, Florida native has been selected as the GAC Player of the Week three total times this season, leading the UAM offense to a 12-0 overall record with a 6-0 record in the conference.
Derylton also leads Arkansas-Monticello in field goal percentage at 67 percent, field goals made with 92, total rebounds at 88 and total blocked shots with eight overall.
