State Rep. Mike Holcomb announced today that he is switching to the Republican Party.
The former Jefferson County judge is currently serving his second term, representing District 10. The district includes portions of Drew, Lincoln, Cleveland, Grant and Jefferson counties.
Holcomb announced the switch at a news conference at the state GOP headquarters with Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
He was elected to the Legislature in 2012 and re-elected last year. He plans to seek re-election next year as a Republican.
