Ida Mae Gatling Hendrix, 95, of Warren, formerly of Lewisville, died September 28, 2014 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.

She was a retired employee of the city of Lewisville and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Warren since 1949. She was also a member of the Order of the Easter Star for more than 50 years, serving as past matron Warren Chapter #3.

Mrs. Hendrix was born January 19, 1919 at Holly Springs, near Bearden, and was the daughter of the late Luther Gatling and Maude Rogers Gatling.

Also preceding her in death was her husband Huey Myrle Hendrix and a sister, Ivonette Sinks.

Survivors include a daughter Bettie Mitchell and husband Carl of Warren; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held October 1 at 2 p.m. at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren with Revs. Russell Rhoden and Robert Green officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Tommy Mitchell, David Mitchell, Tim Ferguson, Ricky Ferguson, Chase Ferguson and Gary Laney. Honorary pallbearers were James Ederington, Dr. Kerry Pennington, Gary Cooper, Gary Green, Karen Richardson, Chris Earnest and Alene Haygood.
