Irene Sivils, 84, of Crossett, died on October 27, 2014 at the Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

She was a native of Lake Village, a resident of Crossett for the past 42 years, and a former resident of Wilmot.

Mrs. Sivils was a nurse at the Ashley County Medical Center for 10 years. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with her flowers, cooking, and loved her cat.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey B. Sivils in 1999; her parents, Tom and Winnie Rainbolt Myers; and a brother, Jimmy Myers.

She is survived by three daughters, Iris Stark and husband, George, of Lake Village, Jennifer Hall and husband, John, of Atkins and Corliss McCain and husband, Floyd, of Wilmot; two sons, Johnny Sammons and wife, Shirley, and Carl Sammons all of Crossett; a sister, Madge Hicks and husband, Billy, of Atkins; seven grandchildren, Kay Reel and husband, Tony, of Atkins; Robbie McCain of Lake Village; Henry McCain of Wilmot; Doug Stark of Lake Village, Joni Sammons of Louisville, Kentucky; Cal Tucker Sammons and Cynthia Polk both of Crossett; 16 great-grandchildren and her companion, Allen Martin of Crossett.

Graveside services and burial will be held October 29 at 10 a.m. at Pinewood Memorial Park with Bro. Eric Hodge officiating.

Visitation will be October 29 at 9:45 a.m. at the cemetery.
