Irvin Weast, 85, of Star City died on October 2, 2016 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Star City and a retired heavy equipment driver at Planters Mill in Pine Bluff.
Mr. Weast was born on July 6, 1931 in Coy, Arkansas and was the son of the late Roy and Edna Satterfield Weast.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Huley, Charles and Dooley Weast; and a grandson, Chad Gaddis.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Phillips Weast of Star City; a son, Ricky Weast of Star City; three daughters, Barbara Haynes of Star City, Debbie Ayres of Summerdale, Alabama and Shirley Gaddis of Star City; four brothers, Kenneth Weast, Gene Weast, Roger Weast and Jerry Weast, all of Star City; a sister, Betty Lou Gates of Star City; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on October 5 at 10 a.m. at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation is October 4 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
