J.T. Peters

J.T. Peters, 13, of Hamburg, died September 12, 2021.

J.T. was a native of Crossett and a lifelong resident of the Milo community outside of Hamburg. He was a ninth-grade student at Hamburg High School where he was a member of Future Farmer’s of America. He attended Eden Baptist Church.

J.T. enjoyed playing “Call of Duty” on his PS4, riding four-wheelers, hunting, fishing, and archery. He aspired to one day join the Milo Volunteer Fire Department and serve his community as a firefighter.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara Peters, Robert Ruckoldt and Vickie Liker and his uncle and aunt, Edward and Charyl Terry.

He is survived by his parents, Gary and Pamela Ruckoldt Peters of Hamburg; a sister, Miranda Peters of Hamburg; two brothers, Logan Moore of Watson and Dustin Snow and his girlfriend, Katelyn, of Dewitt; his grandfather, Rev. John L. Peters of Hamburg; his step-grandparents, Dave and Valerie Curtis of Pueblo West, Colorado and Dwight Smith of McAllen, Texas; two aunts, Autumn Johnson and husband, Cole, and Ashley Henslee and husband, Charlie; an uncle, Clinton Ruckholdt and wife, Maryann, all of Pueblo West, Colorado; a nephew, Kason Snow of Watson; a niece, Nola Sheffield of Sheridan; his best friend, Tyler Tanksley of Hamburg; a host of cousins and friends and his family at the Milo Volunteer Fire Department.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 14, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg.

Funeral services are Wednesday, September 15, at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Hamburg with Rev. Keith Hicks and Rev. J.W. Dobbins officiating. Burial will be ar the Zion Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Johnny Stewart, J.R. Tanksley, Mike Rowe, Dwight Smitty, Cody King, Jamie Smith and Mark Kelley. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Menapace, Logan Moore, Dustin Snow, Staven Terry, Toby Terry and the Hamburg High School Class of 2025.
