Jacob “Jake” Ryan Currie, 23, of Sheridan, formerly of Crossett, died on July 28, 2017.
He was born on December 10, 1993 in Monticello and was the son of Beth Quarles Currie and the late Ronnie Currie.
He was a 2012 graduate of Crossett High School and a member of First Baptist Church of Crossett. He loved baseball, hanging out with his family and friends and especially taking long walks. He will be missed by his loving mother, his two sisters, and countless family and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sue Quarles and James Riley Quarles, Sr. and his paternal grandparents, Janice Marter and Joe Currie.
He is survived by his mother, Sue Beth Quarles of Little Rock and two sisters, Elizabeth “Nicole” Currie of Crossett, and Sarah Catherine “Caty” Nealey, and husband, Eddie, of El Paso, Texas.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 4, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Crossett, 701 Main St, Crossett, with Bro. Jamie Staley officiating.
