James Albert Johnson, 89, of Monticello passed away on April 22, 2018.

He was born on October 26, 1928 in Desha County and was the son of the late Jessie and Ida Graves Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a former resident of Paris, Arkansas, a member of Paris First Assembly of God Church and was self-employed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, James and Lynn Johnson.

Survivors are his wife, Audrey Bullock Johnson; a son, Mike (Tammy) Johnson of Tillar; three daughters, Tammy (Mark) Ross of Conway, Judy (Bill) Mosley, Lavaca, and Marilyn Bunting of Harrison; a sister, Mary Jean Seigrist of Greenbrier; and 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 25 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Griffin Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. immediately following visitation at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Bullock officiating. Burial will be at Hopedale Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Amos Bayou Assembly of God Church in Tillar.
