James Daniel French, 66, of McGehee passed away on February 5, 2015 in Dermott.
He was a volunteer for the Chicot County Sheriff’s Department and a supporter of Arkansas Children’s Hospital. He attended Castle Heights Military School and served in the National Guard. He also played the trumpet at Military funerals at Castle Heights in Tennessee. He loved to hunt and fish with his sons, spend time with his daughters and spoil his grandchildren.
Mr. French was born on August 9, 1948 at McCroy and was the son of Nadine Malone French and the late James Henry French.
Survivors include his mother; two sons, James Daniel French III and wife Lauren of McGehee and Larry Cameron French and Hope Stalans of McGehee; two daughters, Shannon Lea Revels and husband Tim of Houston, Texas and Sara Katelyn French and husband Steven of McGehee; two brothers, Michael Anthony French and wife Tanya of McGehee and Steven Arzo French and wife of Brooke of McGehee; three sisters, Teresa Ann French and husband Vick of McGehee, Karin Annette French and husband Doug of McGehee and Melinda Nadine French and husband Mitch of McGehee; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be February 6 from 5 p.m.until 7 p.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Graveside services will be held February 7 at 2 p.m. at the French Family Cemetery on Chickasaw Road in McGehee with Rev. Kenny Hogue officiating.
