James Douglas Tucker, 98, Crossett passed away on January 29, 2018.
He was a shipping clerk for Georgia Pacific , a deacon at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church, a Navy veteran of WW II, a former board member at CPMEFCU, and a Mason. He enjoyed watching football, crocheting and attending church.
Mr. Tucker was born on August 17, 1919 in Hamburg and was the son of the late Frank and Pearl Wilcoxon Tucker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Ada Tucker; two daughters-in-law, Nancy and Faylene Tucker; a son-in- law, Rosen Alan Ford; four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Tucker and Ronald Tucker (JoAnn P.); a daughter, Deborah Ford; a brother, Clifton Tucker; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 31 at 3 p.m. at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Lloyd Gibbs and Bro. Gayle Riles officiating. Burial will follow at Hamburg Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church.
