James Edgar Rabb, 81, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Baylor, Scott, & White Medical Center in Rowlett, Texas.
He was born on September 3, 1940, to the late James “Doc” Rabb and Mary Jane Holland Rabb.
Mr. Rabb was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he was a member of the military police in the 825th Hard Chargers. He was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant “Campground” United Methodist Church. He loved Jesus, and he loved his family.
Mr. Rabb was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Harmon; a granddaughter, Jennifer Davis; and a great-grandson, Landon Smith.
He is survived by his children, Linda Gibson and husband Tom, of Forney, Texas, Ann Goodner and husband Steve, of Heath, Texas, Vickie Rabb-Wiggins and husband Tim, of Forney, Texas, Scott Rabb and wife Stacie, of Quinlan, Texas; a brother-in-law, Doyle Harmon, of Monticello; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his quiver was definitely full; as well as many other family members and friends.
A viewing will be held Sunday, September 12, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant “Campground” United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Family Cemetery in Monticello.
