James Edward “Buddy” James, 71, of McGehee, passed away July 15, 2021, at Central Arkansas Veteran’s Hospital.

He was the son of the late Joe James and Mildred Willene McBride James.

Mr. James was a hardworking man who loved music, people, and God. He was a Navy Veteran and a carpenter, concrete finisher, and jack of all trades. He was the husband of Francis James and a member of Full Gospel Church.

Mr. James was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one stepson, John Lowery; one sister Jolene Lee; one brother Wesley James; and one grandchild, Remington Suber.

He is survived by his children, Bryan James of McGehee, Tanya Roberts of White Hall, Joseph James, Kim James both of Monticello, Buddy Wayne James of Portland, Brent James of Wisconsin; one brother, Bruce Anthony James of Warren; one sister Linda Allen of Monticello; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 20, at 1:00 p.m. at the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel in Monticello, with military honors. Rev. Brandon Medders will officiate.
