James Henry DuBose, Jr., 93, of Crossett, passed away on February 2, 2015 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
He was a veteran of United States Marines and retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill after 37 years of service. He was a member of Beech Street Baptist Church.
Mr. DuBose was born on April 6, 1921 at Morrison and was the son of the late parents, James H. Sr. and Carrie Agnes Powell DuBose.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Joyce McDougald DuBose; a brother, Bobby DuBose; and sisters, Rena Tucker, Oma Smith, Leta Mae Kelley, Ollie Ruth Barnett and an infant, Marie DuBose.
Survivors include three sons, James Henry DuBose, III (Joyce), Mack Steven DuBose (Shelley), Jeffrey Don DuBose (Nancy), all of Crossett; three daughters, Dinah Leigh Gray (Tommy) of Cleveland, Mississippi, Terri Lynn Douglas (Thad) and Denise Renee DuBose of Crossett; two sisters, Elise Courson, Betty Murphy, both of Crossett; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held February 4 at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Beech Street Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie DuBose officiating.
Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
