James Lamar Land, 75, of Crossett, died November 1, 2020.
He was a native of Portland and a resident of Crossett for the past 50 years.
Mr. Land was a graduate of Portland High School. He worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation Paper Mill for 41 years, retiring in 2007. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his garden and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Ola Hudson Land in 2018; a daughter, Kathryn “Kathy” Land Brown in 2017; his parents, Sam and Elise Morris Land.
He is survived by his daughter, Susie Haseloff and husband, Robert, of Brandon, Mississippi; two sons, James Land, Jr. and wife, Casey, of Crossett and Gregory Winn and wife, Nicole, of Strong; a brother, Sammy Land, Jr. and wife, Helen, of Montrose; six grandchildren, Zack Land, Victoria Land, Jonathan Winn, Dillan Brown, Charles Winn and Vance High and two great-grandchildren, Grant Oliver Winn and Olivia Mae Craig.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 4, at 10 a.m. at the Crossroads Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are J.D. White, Russ Meeks, Jim Culp, Mike Emanuele, Bill Ferguson, Eric Brown and James Morris.
