James Larry Swan, 77, of Monticello, passed away on June 12, 2019 at Belleview Estates Nursing & Rehabilitation in Monticello.
He was a retired logger and attended Oak Grove Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Swan was born on December 7, 1941 in Drew County to the late George T. Swan and Edith Chambers Swan.
Other than his parents, he was also preceded by his wife, Faye Newton Swan, and a brother, Gene Swan.
Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Swan Merriott of Sherwood, Kim Swan Stafford of Bearden, and Sandy Swan Riley of Crossett; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several step-children and step-grandchildren from his deceased wife Faye; one uncle, Joe Mack Chambers and wife Jean of Monticello; three aunts, Glenda Henry and husband James of Plano, Texas, Jewel Hackett of Conway and Kathleen Padgett of Pine Bluff; two nephews, Johnny Swan of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Chris Swan of Idaho; one niece, Gena Swan Harmon and husband Randy of Benton. Very special friends Susie and Jimmy Henry.
Services will be Saturday, June 15, at 10 a.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Visitation will be Friday, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Burial will be at Rash Cemetery.
