James Norman Thompson, 59, of Star City passed away on September 11, 2019 at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.
He was born on April 9, 1960 to the late Norman and Clovis Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was a Baptist and was retired from the Pine Bluff Road Department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, but most of all he loved his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded him in death by a daughter, Rachel Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Beatty; two sons, Steven Ludlam and Joshua (Nikki Hooks) Ludlam, both of Star City; three daughters, Jamie Burts of Hot Springs, Heather Shinn of Star City and Sarah Thompson of Morrilton; and five grandchildren, Madison Shinn, Cadin McDaniels, Kylen Ludlam, Shawn Ludlam and Morgan Shinn.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 19, at 2 p.m. at Leek Cemetery with Bro. BJ Duvall officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
Pallbearers are Steven Ludlam, Josh Ludlam, Justin Manes, Cody Ballinger, Aaron Hendricks and Daniel Manes.
