Jan Christmas, 84, of Hamburg, died December 28, 2020, in Little Rock.
Mrs. Christmas was a native of Camden, New Jersey and a resident of Hamburg for the past 63 years.
She worked at the Crossett Health Unit for 28 years, retiring in 2004.
Mrs. Christmas was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was active in Women on Mission. She enjoyed doing for others and took countless elderly ladies to their doctor appointments and helped them run errands.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Robert L. Christmas in 1989; her parents, William Dischert, Jr. and Eleanor Raker Dischert; a brother, Bill Dischert and a daughter-in-law, Lynn Christmas.
She is survived by two sons, Scott Christmas of Ward and Mark Christmas of Hamburg; a sister, Eleanor Dischert Plumb of Yuma, Arizona; two brothers, Bob Dischert of San Diego, California and Ron Dischert of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Blake Christmas and wife, April, of Cabot, John Robert Christmas and wife, Rachel, of Conway and Brittany Christmas-McCourtney of Brimfield, Ohio, three great-grandchildren, Zackary, Braxton and Nathan and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday, January 1, at 2 p.m. at the Hamburg Cemetery with Rev. Ty Danielson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, prior to the service, from 1:45 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the cemetery.
