Janice Forrest Sims, 55, of Monroe, Louisiana, formerly of Monticello, died on May 24, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
Mrs. Sims was a nurse for more than 20 years and was was employed at University Health Conway. She attended First West Church of West Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Lee Forrest and her parents, Daniel “Mitt” Forrest and Helen Forrest.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Rusty Sims; children, Justin Sims and Sommer Sims; stepson, Brandon Sims; grandson, Cameron Pardue; siblings, Delores Bryan, D.H. Forrest, David Forrest, Flo Coldicott, Gary Forrest, Edith Herring, Audrey Williams, Tony Forrest, Robert Forrest, and Linda Howell; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Tiffany Garner.
Funeral services will be held on May 27 at 11 a.m. at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in Monroe. A graveside services will be held on May 27 at 3 p.m. at Campground Cemetery in Monticello with Rev. T.C. Dupree and Rev. Woods Watson officiating.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s children’s research hospital.
