Jerry Ben Tucker, 83, of Monticello, passed away on November 27, 2019 at Gardner Nursing Home in Star City.
He was born May 8, 1936 in Monticello to the late R. J. Tucker and Margie Carter Tucker.
He was a retired pipefitter, United States Navy veteran with 11 years of service and a Jehovah’s Witness.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Rose; and two brothers, W. C. Tucker and Jack Tucker.
Survivors include one daughter, Elaine Tucker Worthen (Walter) of Monticello; one son, Kenny Tucker of Monticello; two brothers, Olin Tucker of Monticello and Eddie Tucker of Pine Bluff; one sister, Kitty Wiscaver of Smackover; his “adopted daughter” Janet Williams; a special niece, Annie Harvey, who was like a daughter to him; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Memorial services for Jerry and Rose will be held Monday, December 2 at 4 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. following the service at the funeral home.
