Jerry Lee Barnett, 59, of Monticello, passed away on December 24, 2019 at his home.

He was born May 19, 1960 in Monticello to Myrtle Hice Barnett and the late L. B. Barnett.

He was a construction worker and was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one son, Jarod Barnett; and a sister, Altha Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Glover Barnett of Monticello; two daughters, Ashley Locke and husband Keith of Clinton and Samantha Barnett of Monticello; one son, Hunter Barnett of Monticello; five grandchildren, Madison, Jada, Zaiden, Kaidren and Jerry Auston; his mother, Myrtle Hice Barnett of Monticello; three brothers, Phillip Barnett, Daron Barnett and Roger Barnett all of Monticello; three sisters, JoAnn Marter, Rose Richardson and Misti Wood all of Monticello; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Friday, December 27 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rash Cemetery.
