John Frank Gibson, Jr., a Monticello attorney, issued a news release Thursday saying he is not retiring. The full text of Gibson’s news release:
Contrary to an article in the Advance Monticellonian, a local newspaper, John F. Gibson, Jr. has not announced his retirement.
Mr. Gibson, who turns 78 on February 8, 2018, is often asked by prosecutors and police officers when and if he is ever going to retire. Mr. Gibson, who in recent years has limited his practice to primarily criminal defense work, says that all depends on his ability to continue to serve his many clients and those who will need him.
