Jimmy Burl “Foo Foo” Forrest, 56, of Monticello, passed away July 4, 2014 at his home.
Mr. Forrest was a pipeliner for 37 years, a member of Second Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman. He fought a courageous year long battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born June 8, 1958 in Monticello and was the son of the late Dickson Forrest and Carole Jean Davis Forrest.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernice and Clark (Mutt) Davis and Sam and Myrtle Forrest.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Lisa Burks Forrest of Monticello; his daughter, Linzy Forrest of Monticello; two step-sons, Joey Rice and Chris Rice of Pennsylvania; three step-grandchildren, Abby and Alyssa Rice and Jayden Lutz; and Isaiah Rice to be born Thursday, July 10; and one brother, Timmy Forrest and wife Diane of Monticello.
Visitation is July 6 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Stephenson Dearman Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held July 7 at 10 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery on North Hyatt in Monticello.
