Joanne K. Richardson, 92, of Warren, died on March 16, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Joanne was born on October 13, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri and was the daughter of the late Troy Kight and Charlene Scobey Kight.

She was a graduate of Warren High School and the wife of Bob Richardson whom she married in 1948, this union of marriage lasted more than 72 years.

Joanne worked for 10 years equally at the Veterans Administration in Little Rock, the W. and O.V. Railroad, and for Dr. French Wynne and Dr. James Marsh. More importantly, she was a loving housewife and homemaker for her husband and family.

Joanne was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Warren. Her devotion to the church was apparent along with her service and attendance. She was a 65-year dedicated founding member of the United Methodist Woman’s (Circle of Andrews) which are small groups of women that come together for a time of spiritual growth, prayer, education and fellowship. Joanne served as superintendent of Sunday schools and church programs for 20 years. She served numerous times on the church’s board of trustees, where her devotion and dedication landed her as chairperson. Even in her later days of church attendance, she insisted she and her husband Bob enter as always, through the front narthex.

Joanne and Bob dearly loved one of her favorite passions, watching the horses race at Oaklawn.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Michael Richardson.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; sons, Steve Richardson and spouse, Debra, of Warren, Scott Richardson and spouse, Karen, of Warren; nine grandchildren, Robert Austin Richardson and spouse, Ashley, Scott Allison Johnson and spouse, Justin, Morgan Meeks and spouse, Matt, Stevie Richardson, Dr. Sylvia Simon and spouse, Dr. Tim, Keith Chambers and spouse, Christina, Jenny Lemoine and spouse, Cliff, Brandi Collier and spouse, Jeff, and Alexee Chambers; and 10 great-grandchildren Mattelyn Meeks, McKinleigh Meeks, Savvy Scott Johnson, Pete Simon, Mary Emma Simon, Nicholas Lemoine, Caroline Lemoine, Jack Chambers, Jay Collier and Jaxon Collier; and caregivers, Shirley Green and Laverne Moore, who the family greatly appreciates.

The family would like to express their deepest regrets, because of the CDC recommendations for gatherings and the spread of the coronavirus, they will have a PRIVATE family graveside service.
