Jody “Odell” Williams, 69, of Star City passed away on May 10, 2018 at UAMS in Little Rock.
He was born on June 6, 1948 in Dumas to the late Edgar Oliver and Annie Bell Boyette Williams.
Mr. Williams was a member of First Assembly of God in Dumas. He was farmer and truck driver who enjoyed wood working, drawing, painting and the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Williams; two brothers, Virgil Williams and Billy Joe Williams; and a sister, Betty Joyce Williams.
Survivors include a son, Jody (Teresa) Williams of Star City; three sisters, Marnell Schee of Backgate, Carolyn Hacker of Dumas, and Myrtle Jane Williams of McGehee; seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Services in Star City, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Bro. BJ Duvall will officiate. Burial will be at Scott Cemetery in Winchester.
Pallbearers are Billy Walters, Jr., Scott Williams, Buddy Hacker, Scott McTigrit, James Ray Williams, Alan Boothe, Daniel Boothe and Nicholas Boothe. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Ray Walters and Kurt Hacker.
