Joe Pat Ferguson, 85, of Kelso, passed away on November 13, 2016 in Little Rock.
He retired from Lone Star Gas Company and served in the United States Army, Tank Co. 180 Infantry during Korean War.
Mr. Ferguson was a member, co-Sunday school director, and church staff at Kelso Baptist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #79.
He was born on May 1, 1931 in Watson (Red Fork) and was the son of the late Robert Fred Ferguson and Kelsey Imogene Biscoe Ferguson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Billy and Gibbs Ferguson and a sister, Polly Moore.
Survivors are his wife, Sherrie Thurman of Kelso; a son, Hunter (Anna Cathryn) Wargo of Conway; and his loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation is November 16, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Griffin Funeral Home in Dumas.
Funeral services will be held on November 17, at 2 p.m. Kelso Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Balducci officiating. Burial will be at Ferguson Cemetery in Watson, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post #79 in McGehee or MacArthur Cemetery in MacArthur, Arkansas.
