Joe Reeves, 83, of McGehee, passed away on October 14, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Reeves worked for International Harvester for 30 years before retiring and was self employed for seven years. He loved to work, deer hunt and build things. He was a member of First Baptist Church and loved the Lord and people.

He was born on September 12, 1931 in Rohwer to the late Willie Idell and Addie Bell Roberts Reeves.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, J.B. Reeves and Early Reeves; sisters Syble Atkins, Dorothy O-Conner, and Hazel Williams; granddaughter, Krystle Knowlton.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patricia “Pat” Adams Reeves; sons, Mitchell Reeves and his wife Kim of McGehee, and Michael Knowlton of Roswell, New Mexico; a sister, Jean Williams of Grapevine; four grandchildren, Morgan, Austin, Shiloh, and Heather; and five great-grandchildren, Rylan, Jude, Harley, Zyon, and Elijah.

Visitation will be held October 18 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Funeral services will follow visitation at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Gene White officiating. Burial will be at McGehee Cemetery in McGehee.
