Joe Ronnie Tipton, 78, of Star City, passed away on March 13, 2020 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
He was born in Arkansas County on November 27, 1941 to the late Aubray Tipton and Elsie Mae Bronson Tipton.
Mr. Tipton worked as a row crop farmer and carpenter most of his life. He loved hunting, fishing and spoiling his grandchildren. He was a member and deacon at New Home Missionary Baptist Church.
Also preceding him in death is one son, Scott Tipton and a brother, Melvin Tipton.
Survivors include his loving wife, Margaretta Tipton of Star City; one son, Steve Tipton (Tanesha) of Fouke; daughter, Lynn Luscomb (Earl) of Star City; four brothers, James Tipton (betty) of Stuttgart, Jimmy Tipton (Vivian) of Star City, Shelby Tipton (Melody) of Jacksonville; one sister, Joyce Smith (Buddy) of Star City, and seven grandchildren, Madison, Jace, Tray, Makyla, Jaqual, Jakya, and Cameron.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 18 from noon until 2 p.m. at New Home Missionary Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 18 at 2:30 p.m. at New Home Cemetery. Bro. Joseph Pemberton will officiate.
Pallbearers are Randy Blasengame, Tobby Simmons, Mack Owen, Brad Tipton, Jason Smith, and Robby Tipton.
