John David Gandy, 60, of Hot Springs Village, formerly of Monticello, passed away on March 15, 2019 at his home.

He was born on September 20, 1958 in Monticello to the late William Verbon Gandy and Gloria Ann “Doe” Dunn Gandy.

He was a 1976 graduate of Monticello High School, attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and was of the Presbyterian faith. He worked as the assistant manager of the Piggly Wiggly for approximately 30 years, was an avid sports fan, loved reading books and was loved by all that knew him.

Survivors include his brother, William “Bill” Gandy and wife Melody of Hot Springs Village; his nephew, Christopher Gandy of Plumerville; his niece, Shena Phagan and husband James of Plumerville; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Rochelle, BreAnna, Kolton and Kyler.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello.
